Hi there! Hoping to get an estimate for 3 specific projects (can be in phases or together in whatever way makes sense): 1) Recent water damage to oak floor in master bedroom, approximately 8 ft by 8 ft. Wood probably needs replacing. 2) Refinish of existing oak floor in great room, TV room and foyer (this is a new floor that was not finished correctly, needs to be redone for better surface and color) 3) Refinish wood on stairs. You were referred by a friend. Look forward to the estimate!

Installing a hard wood flooring is not necessarily a complex process and in the hands of the right Atlanta area contactor can be quite simple and efficiently done. Once you decide on the kind of wood that you want for your flooring, decide if you want further designs or finishes to your floors. Wooden floorings these days aren't just plain and no frills -- they have borders, and come in a variety of finishes. For instance, you can choose to have a stunning medallion in the middle of the room or maybe a distressed finish or inlay that will add to the charm of the floor. Does your Atlanta area contractor have the right kind of experience for the job?
Your Atlanta, GA area hard wood flooring contractor should be properly licensed and should have membership or certification from any trade association in his niche. It goes without saying that he has to be a thorough professional with a brick and mortar address and a manned hotline for his hard wood flooring company. His workers should be neat and uniformed and they should arrive in company transportation. They should also arrive with all necessary equipment for the job.
Your Atlanta, Georgia area contractor must have many years of experience in the business. He should b experienced not only in installing the kind of flooring that you need, but must also be proficient in any type of other specialized processes that you need, like borders or inlays. He must be able to offer you an estimated budget for the project, and should be able to give you a time frame for the project. He should have plans in place for disposal of waste that is left over as a result of the wooden flooring project, and should have dust containment systems in place. Ask if he offers warranties for his products and services. If you have doubts, go to the local chapter of the Better Business Bureau in your city, and make enquiries there.
